Samantha came forward to help the hearing-impaired children
All the five senses of humans have their own significances. Ears are the gateway to the brain. According to a study, if a kid has to go to school and understand lessons taught by teachers, he should have listened to more than 4 million words by then. That comes to 30 thousand words per day. Now, understand the plight of kids with hearing impairment. That disability will put their future at stake.
An organisation, ‘Phonak’, with a slogan ‘Life is On’ is fighting without compromising to help the kids with this disability for the past 70 years. They are striving hard to spread the awareness on this issue. Not just this, they are doing scientific research even.
Now, this Phonak has collaborated with ‘AUM’ (A Unit of Hearing Solutions Pvt Ltd) and extensively organising free medical camps. Humanist and south Indian actress Samantha Akkineni, who look after social welfare programs with her Prathyusha Foundation, has visited the organisation which has 36 branches in the Telugu states.
Samantha has donated hearing aids to 10 children with hearing impairment. On this occasion, Samantha said that she will extend her support even in the future. Hearing Solutions Pvt Ltd managing director S Raja and Phonak representative Sneha Mayekar were present at the event.
