'Pochampally IKAT art Mela 2017' a 8- days Hand woven Eco friendly Handloom Products exhibition Kick starts at YMCA hall, Narayanaguda. Nene Saroja Fame Actress Meghna formally Inaugurated the mela.
On the occasion Actress Meghna said that, “It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer Fabrics, Ikat silk and cotton sarees, to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs in the city.
“Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition element of Indian culture and rich artistry. By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures “said Mr. Devender- Chairman and Lava Kumar- Director of Pochampally Handloom Park.
The Expo will be on till 30th December 2017, 10:00 am to 9pm.
