Reporter Press Meet

GRK Films’ ‘Reporter’ starring Ramki and Tashu Kaushik as lead pair and director N Shankar in key role is being directed by Mahesh Kathi with G Ramakrishna as producer.

In a press meet held on Friday evening, hero Ramki said, “I’m doing this film after a long gap after ‘Gangaputrulu’. Although I heard 60-70 stories in this gap, I preferred the story narrated by Mahesh only because it’s apt to my body language. I got an award for my very first film. Hence I wanted to do my next film also with a good subject. I thank N Shankar garu for agreeing to do the key role in this film which is very prominent. Chalapathi Rao and Suresh played prominent roles too. The film’s cinematography is outstanding. This film will tell the values of a ‘Reporter’.”

Tashu Kaushik said, “It’s a realistic movie with every character strong in its own way. I thank my director and producer for giving me a good role in this film.”

Suresh said, “The director is known to me through facebook. I watched his short films and I liked them. I asked him to give a nice role to me impressed by his working style. And he gave me an amazing role. I’ll be very happy if my role will be an asset to the film. ‘Reporter’ has all elements that the audience is looking forward to.”

N Shankar said, “I got several acting offers in the past but I politely rejected all of them as I felt I’m not suitable for it. Even Sumudra had approached me several times. Even for this film I initially hesitated to do, however they were very firm that I should do the role. After listening to the story I felt that it has got good values in it. There is life in my character. It has an inspiration. I met some senior journalists and learnt about their experiences. I too did diploma in journalism. ‘Reporter’ will be a different film at the time quality of films is reducing day by day. The director and producer are very confident. The movie will connect well with every reporter. Apart from music, Raghu Kunche took care of everything. Jyotsya Bhatla rendered fantastic music too.”

Music director Jyotsya Bhatla said, “Reporter is a movie with good principles. I worked with this director in the past. Raghu Kunche and I composed two songs each in this film. Ramki did this film with great passion. I wish the entire team a grand success.”

Director Mahesh Kathi said, “Journalism is a responsible profession. Many satirical movies were made on Reporters. The story of ‘Reporter’ is on village background. It’s a universal subject with wide range of entertainment. I’m doing this film with the experience I had canning two short films. Raghu Kunche and Jyotsya Bhatla rendered good music. Sirasri penned a good song. Shooting is almost in the finishing stage.”
