Nippu Press Meet

We are aware that YVS Chowdary is producing the film titled ‘Nippu’ on his home banner Bommarillu featuring Ravi Teja as male lead under the direction of Gunasekhar. This movie is set for release during Sankranti 2012. To make an announcement a press meet was held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad today in which YVS Chowdary, his daughter Yalamanchili Yuktha and S R Kishore participated.

YVS Chowdary told the media, “We launched ‘Nippu’ on our banner on May 28th and started to shoot regularly from August 1st onwards. So far we have shot 3 action sequences, 2 songs and a little bit of talkie with which we completed 65% of shooting. We will complete the remaining part of shooting by November end and release the film for Sankranthi. As mentioned by Gunasekhar on the launching day of the film, we are sticking to his words completely. I struggled very hard to direct films in the past. Ravi Teja’s character is like a ‘Nippu’ (fire) in this film. While Ravi Teja and I were the roommates in the past, Gunasekhar used to stay close by. I’m very happy to do this film in our combination. I’m enjoying the role of a producer for the first time and I also feel proud to be one. Gunasekhar always maintained certain standards in filmmaking. But for the first time he is doing a film with an entertaining hero like Ravi Teja. He is shooting the movie with pakka planning. We have recently shot some scenes in Pollachi. I was thrilled to see the rushes. He worked hard for 9 months to prepare this story. I learnt few new things from Gunasekhar’s style of filmmaking during the making of this film. He is able to manage to take the film within the budget limit. He spent for the film as per the story demand. During Sankranthi, any film with good story and mass elements will become a big hit. Brahmanandam’s role in second half is the pillar for the film. The film will definitely please the Sankranthi audience.”

Speaking further he said, “We are planning to go to Soudi Arabia to shoot some part there as per the story demand. The shooting will take place for 12 days. Gunasekhar and I chose Deeksha Seth as heroine for this film. Her character is not just the glam doll but very important in the story. She too involved herself into the role and is performing accordingly. ‘Nippu’ is sure to earn her a good image. Thaman scored excellent music in this film which would be the special attraction. Similarly fight master Kannal Kannan handled the action part in a remarkable manner.”
