Dhanush as hero, ‘VIP 2’ is being made under V Creations and Wunderbar banners. Soundarya Rajinikanth is the director. Kalaipuli S Thanu and Dhanush are producing the film. To update the progress of the film, the film unit has arranged press meet on Saturday in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the press meet, director Soundarya Rajinikanth said, “The film ‘VIP 2’ is very special film for me. This is the first straight film in Telugu for Dhanush. I am thankful to him for keeping faith on me and for supporting me by giving me this wonderful opportunity.”
Addressing the gathering, hero Dhanush said, “The film ‘VIP 2’ is my first straight Telugu film. Super hit Tamil film ‘VIP’ was released in Telugu as ‘Raghuvaran Btech’. ‘VIP 2’ is the sequel to ‘VIP’. As this is my straight Telugu film, I am learning Telugu language as well. Working for this film is a wonderful journey. I am sure Telugu audience will enjoy the film like how they enjoyed ‘Raghuvaran Btech’. I am thankful to the producers Thanu and Paranthaman garu.”
Kajol said, “Hyderabad is one of my favourite cities. In the past I have visited Hyderabad so many times. It’s been a long time since I have acted in other language films. Have acted in ‘VIP 2’ only because of Soundarya and Dhanush.”
