'Crazy Fellow' is touted to be a full-on family entertainer coming in the direction of newcomer Phani Krishna Siriki. Produced by Sri Sathya Sai Arts's KK Radhamohan, the film is fronted by Aadi Saikumar. Digangana Suryavanshi is its heroine.
The film heads to theatres on October 14. In this interview, producer Radhamohan says that the film is something all family audiences can enjoy themselves.
'Crazy Fellow' is high on content and its story completely suits Aadi. There is a curious element in the story. It's a clean and youthful family entertainer. You can enjoy watching it for 150 minutes. The trailer and songs of the movie have struck the right chord with the audience.
I have been around since the late 1990s as a producer. As far as the story is concerned, 'Adhinetha' remains the most satisfying one to me. 'Emaindi Ee Vela' was a trend-setting film. The likes of Maruthi count that film as their big inspiration. 'Pantham' got a nice message. 'Bengal Tiger' with Ravi Teja was a mass entertainer.
'Orey Bujjigaa' and 'Odela Railway Station', my previous two films, were released directly on OTT. I have always treaded cautiously as a producer. After OTT, the audience are used to watching movies on OTT.
Sources of revenue have only gone up over the years. Besides satellite rights revenue, one can make a lot via OTT as well. At the same time, expenses, too, have gone up. Back in those days, a day's shoot will result in an expenditure of Rs 3 lakh. It now takes Rs 8 lakh per day. A producer must understand the market thoroughly and spend his resources optimally.
Digangana is a talented actress. Mirnaa Menon is the other heroine, and this one is her Telugu debut. She has got a surprising part in the story.
RR Dhruvan is a budding music director who holds a lot of potential in him. His music for 'Crazy Fellow' is a huge asset. Each of the five songs is different. His BGM is brilliant. We are very satisfied as far as the music department is concerned.
