Sonal Chauhan has played a key role in 'F3'. The actress, who has previously done 'Legend', 'Pandaga Chesko', 'Dictator' and 'Ruler', among other movies in Telugu, shares her experience of doing the comedy entertainer.
'F3', starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej, will hit the cinemas on May 27.
While I was shooting for 'Legend' at Ramoji Film City many years ago, director Anil Ravipudi was making another movie. We both happened to talk with each other. At that time, the director told me he will cast me in one of his films. Many years later, I landed 'F3'. When Ravipudi narrated the character, I was really thrilled. I consider him the King of comedy. I thoroughly enjoyed watching 'F2'. Therefore, I immediately accepted the 'F3' offer. Thanks to the director, I was not stressed out while working on the film. It was a fun experience despite the heavy casting. Ravipudi is a director with a great sense of humour.
There is a reason the trailer doesn't give any hint about my character in 'F3'. It's a role that holds a surprise. There is a twist concerning my role. That's why the trailer has hidden the nature of my character. I am confident that the audience will be thoroughly entertained by my character.
Despite the fact that 'F3' is filled with many characters and artists, each of them has a purpose in the story. My role is purposeful, too.
This is the first time that I have done a full-fledged comedy role in my career. It was challenging to play an out-and-out entertaining role. Doing comedy is no joke. I was a bit tense since it's my first comedic role. I asked the director if I need to watch some comedy films before I start shooting. He asked me to relax and walk into set without doing any homework. He is the kind of director who acts our parts and emotes each scene.
I feel honoured to have got to work with a great actor like Venkatesh garu. He is always jovial on set. He helps his fellow artists. He is a producer's actor. There is so much to learn from him. My very first scene was with him. I was really tense. But it turned out to be a breeze in the end! As for Varun Tej, he is always positive and friendly.
And it was fun working with Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen as well. They have become my good friends.
Dil Raju and Shirish are marvellous producers. They are dedicated to cinema all the time!
