Music director Chaitan Bharadwaj awaits the release of 'Maha Samudram' on October 14. In this interview, he talks about composing music for the movie that has Sharwanand and Siddharth in lead roles.

Director Ajay Bhupathi garu has shown the emotional content in a new dimension. The last 30 minutes are super-intense. The audience are going to be speechless. The film talks about many twists that can happen in a life. The story involves a few innocent lives. I am sure 'Maha Samudram' is going to live up to the huge expectations.

There is the element of supernatural element in the movie. With time, it can have a strong bearing on the lives of people. By supernatural element, I mean faith. The 'Maha' in the title is the name of a character named Maha.

I believe in story-driven music. If the music is in step with the emotional content of the story, the output will be strong.

'RX 100' was a challenging project. The success that it conferred on me will never be forgotten. That said, 'Maha Samudram' is even more challenging. I was more careful and mindful.

A good song reflects the emotion behind the characterization of a prominent character. I don't understand the 'hit' and 'flop' distinctions. Love, for example, can take varied forms. I like 'Cheppake Cheppake' song from 'Maha Samudram' the most. It was composed after detailed discussions, and comes at a crucial juncture in the movie. Singing the 'Hey Rambha' song was a unique experience.

Ajay Bhupathi garu believed that the tonality of my music is the most apt for 'Maha Samudram'. The story had got the scope to try live music.

Each character has a strong justification in the story. Thanks to the intensity inherent in the story, the BGM could have emotional value. 'Hey Thikamaka' is another song that I like a lot. But 'Cheppake Cheppake' was the most challenging one. The lyrics are superb. Kittu Vissapragada, Bhaskarabhatla garu and others have given their best.
