At Friday's K-Ramp presser, a journalist accused actor Kiran Abbavaram of promoting unethical movies in the garb of entertainment. He opined that the promotional material of K-Ramp is replete with double-meaning words. Kiran defended himself, saying that the character he has played in the comedy entertainer is not supposed to speak in pious language. "He uses a certain language only with his friends, not with his family members," Kiran commented.
With the video clip sparking online debates, Baby producer SKN batted for Kiran, suggesting that morals are being taught for a censored medium like film. "Why do a few journalists target heroes, especially those without a background? There are many vulgar shows on TV and YouTube, yet these so-called intellectual reporters never seem to question them. This double standard needs to be stopped and addressed. To the person who asked this question: Bro, chill. This is an interview, not an interrogation," the producer wrote. SKN is currently producing Chennai Love Story with Kiran in the lead.
K-Ramp hits the cinemas this Saturday (October 18th).
