SKN bats for differential ticket rates, nuanced reviews

Speaking at an event on Friday, Baby fame producer SKN commented that footfalls have been falling at the cinemas. He batted for differential ticket rates to attract students and other young movie-going segments on weekdays. He suggested that higher pricing can be continued during weekends and festivals.

On the occasion, SKN argued that F&B (foods and beverages) costs have also been high across theatres. Importantly, the Taxiwala producer described superficial reforms as cosmetic. "When a patient is waiting for Emergency treatment, you don't give him facials," SKN said.

SKN also touched upon early movie reviews on Day 1. He indicated that reviews need to be nuanced. "When a movie is watched in a hall with barely a handful of people in it, you don't get to understand the pulse of the audience," he suggested. "Reviewers must see themselves as a part of the film fraternity," SKN said.

SKN also gave an update on Prabhas' The Raja Saab. Its Teaser will be released two weeks from now. SKN's next theatrical release as a presenter is Ghatikachalam, an emotional horror thriller.
