BRS leader questions ticket rate hike for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Hari Hara Veera Mallu was released this Thursday with hiked ticket rates. Wednesday night premieres were held with the maximum ticket rates in force. The luxury afforded to the movie was today questioned by a BRS leader in Telangana. As he accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of favouritism towards Pawan Kalyan, former IT Minister and BRS heavyweight KT Rama Rao seemed to smile approvingly.

"Despite a policy of no permissions to hike ticket rates, an exception was made for Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This was made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy purely to help Pawan Kalyan," BRS leader Deshpati Srinivas said.

After the tragic Sandhya Theatre stampede in December 2024, Revanth Reddy declared that his government would not permit ticket rate hikes or benefit/premiere shows for films. He made strong statements in the Assembly, condemning the incident and vowing to prioritize public safety over such privileges for the film industry.
