Akash Jagannadh of Romantic and Mehbooba fame is in the news for offering financial assistance to ailing veteran artist Pavala Syamala. The artist, who has acted in hundreds of films, has been grappling with financial issues. Akash, the son of star director Puri Jagannadh, provided her monetary support of Rs 1 lakh.
"Pavala Syamala is currently residing at the Usha Senior Citizens Welfare Development Society in Ghatkesar. Akash has paid a personal visit to the facility to check on Syamala," a source says, adding that the receiver is filled with gratitude for Akash's timely help.

On the work front, Akash is doing a film titled Thalvar. Kesava Kiran (music director), Trilok Siddu (cinematography), Ayila Srinivasa Rao (editing), and Vithal Kosanam (art direction) are working with director Kasi Parasuuram on Thalvar, which is due for a 2025 release. The director himself is penning the story, screenplay, and dialogues.
