Based on an analysis by Daily Culture, a BO tracker, we have made a qualitative analysis of how Tier-1 Telugu actors have fared in the post-pandemic era. The analysis is based on the performance of their films, ranked from best to worst performing actor:
1. Allu Arjun: He emerges as the top performer with two massive successes, the Pushpa dulology. His next film, to be directed by Atlee, will be a massive one in terms of budget.
2. Jr NTR: Jr NTR secures a strong position with two major hits. RRR remains Tollywood's industry hit, while Koratala Siva-directed Devara earned a blockbuster status.
3. Pawan Kalyan: The actor-politician has a mixed but largely positive track record. Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak both performed Above Average. BroTheAvatar was a disaster.
4. Prabhas: He shows a varied performance with high highs and notable lows. Kalki 2898 AD was a blockbuster and Salaar performed Above Average. Radhe Shyam was a disaster. Adipurush flopped in Telugu big-time.
5. Mahesh Babu: He maintains a steady but unremarkable run. Sarkaru Vaari Paata made losses. Guntur Kaaram didn't make any breakthrough.
6. Ram Charan: Ram Charan ranks lowest due to a stark contrast in outcomes. While RRR was an industry hit, shared with Jr NTR, his solo venture Game Changer was India’s third biggest disaster.
