Coolie is going to hit the cinemas on August 14th. This has always been the rumoured release date of the action drama ever since it was postponed from Summer 2025. But not many were expecting it to stick to the date after Jr NTR-Hrithik Roshan's War 2 chose the same date.

While War 2 is among the biggest pan-Indian movies, Coolie is the craziest Rajinikanth movie in years.
Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also features Akkineni Nagarjuna, Upendra, and others. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has a cameo. Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and Mahendran are part of the cast. Reba Monica John of Samajavaragamana fame has a role. Pooja Hegde recently was roped in for a special song. Anirudh Ravichander and Girish Gangadharan are the music director and cinematographer, respectively.
Rajinikanth, besides Coolie, is also acting in Jailer 2.
