Last year, he was mired in a controversy when he reportedly de-platformed director Naveen Medaram as the helmer of Nandamuri Kalyanram's 'Devil: The British Secret Agent'.
The buzz in the town is that Abhishek Nama has decided to gamble with a flop hero now. Virat Karna, who debuted last year with the atrocious disaster 'Peda Kapu', is said to be the male lead of Abhishek's next directorial.
Virat Karna is a relative of 'Akhanda' producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy. The producer incurred huge losses because of 'Peda Kapu'. He therefore shelved 'Peda Kapu 2'. Virat Karna, who has been careful after the failure of his debut movie, has been biding his time. If reports of him teaming up with Abhishek Nama are true, then he is up for another risky collaboration.
