'Stree 2' beats 'Jawan', becomes highest-grossing Hindi film

'Stree 2' has continued its box office dominance, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film ever within the Indian market. The horror-comedy has now crossed the lifetime business of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' (Hindi version), and is on track to enter the Rs 600 crore club in Nett. terms (not Gross terms).

In its fifth week of release, 'Stree 2' collected an impressive Rs 3.60 crore on Friday, Rs 5.55 crore on Saturday, Rs 6.85 crore on Sunday, Rs 3.17 crore on Monday, and Rs 2.65 crore on Tuesday. The film's total India business now stands at Rs 586 crore.

The film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi.

'Stree 2' is a major milestone for the Hindi film industry. "As of 17 September 2024, the film grossed Rs 691.85 crore in India and Rs 134.30 crore internationally, for a total worldwide gross of Rs 826.15 crore," a report by Wikipedia says.
