Kollywood director Vetrimaaran, who has won five National Film Awards in his career, was in Hyderabad last April to promote 'Vidudhala'. He was asked about his rumoured collaboration with Jr NTR on the occasion. The filmmaker stated that he did have a meeting with the 'RRR' actor after the release of his Tamil movie 'Asuran'.
On Tuesday, while in Chennai, Jr NTR had the opportunity to talk about Vetri. "I am gonna ask my favourite director Vetrimaaran sir, please do a straight Tamil film with me. We can dub it in Telugu," the Nandamuri actor said.
Last year, Vetri didn't speak anything about the nature of the project that he had in mind for the Nandamuri star. "If you asked me what I will be doing tomorrow, I won't be able to tell you," he added. Vetri assured that he won't collaborate with Jr NTR for the sake of star value. "I will do it only if the content demands a star like him," he added.
Jr NTR awaits the release of 'Devara' on September 27. Vetrimaaran awaits the release of 'Vidudhala 2' on December 20.
