Actor Sai Dharam Tej, who recently changed his name to Sai Durgha Tej, today was in Vijayawada on a pious visit. He was there at the famous Kanaka Durga Temple in the town to offer prayers to the residing Goddess. Pictures from the visit have surfaced online.

Recently, the 'Republic' actor donated Rs 20 lakh towards flood relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He visited the Amma Orphanage to check on the well-being of the elderly residents after completing his Durga Amma darshanam. He generously donated two lakhs to the Amma Foundation and contributed an additional three lakhs to other organizations.

In all, the actor donated Rs 25 lakh.

In July this year, Sai Tej was the first celebrity to take up the issue of content creator Praneeth Hanumanthu's pedophilic content. He tagged the CMs of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to seek his arrest. This came from a place of genuine concern for social degeneracy that is enabled by a contemptible online culture.

On the work front, Sai Dharam Tej is doing a pan-Indian movie under the direction of debutant KP Rohit. Produced by Prime Show Entertainment of 'HanuMan' fame, the film has Aishwarya Lekshmi in a pivotal role. This one is a high-octane period action drama.
