Popular Telugu singer Mangli, born Satyavati Chauhan, has been feted with the Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2024. Sangeet Natak Akademi made the announcement. The award was conferred on her at a special ceremony in New Delhi.
Known for singing folk, devotional, native, and rooted songs, Mangli has made a name for herself by singing many special songs in Telugu commercial entertainers. Ramuloo Ramulaa from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Royal Enfield from George Reddy, and Sarangadariya from Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi's Love Story are among her chartbusters.
Mangli comes from a family of farmers. "I come from a humble background. I don't get carried away by the glamour world. My parents are happy about my success. My only goal as a singer is to do fullest justice to the songs I sing. I want to branch out to new languages. I am glad that I got to sing a short song in 'Jawan' in multiple languages. I stay away from pomp and show. I am a family person who likes to spend her time with her family members," Mangli once said in an interview. Mangli wants to sing for top heroines like Deepika Padukone.
