'Tillu Square' will head to theatres on March 29. The sequel to 'DJ Tillu', led by Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, is expected to take the best openings since Sankranthi for a Telugu film.

On Friday, Sithara Entertainments shared the news that their comedy caper has been certified by the CBFC. U/A is the rating the movie has been given.

The makers are glad that the CBFC members found 'Tillu Square' to be a complete laugh riot. They also liked Siddhu's famed mannerisms and atypical character traits.

In a recent interview, director Mallik Ram said that 'Tillu Square', in terms of the genre, is different from the first part. "I would say that 'DJ Tillu' was more of a black comedy drama. On the other hand, the current film doesn't belong to that brand of comedy. It's more commercial and universal. The enjoyment factor will be higher in the audience if they don't constantly compare the content of 'Tillu Square' with that of the first part. The sequences immediately following the interval were conceived carefully to maximize the engagement factor," he added.
