'Check' in 2021 was Chandrasekhar Yeleti's last release. The director, known for the pathbreaking 'Aithe' and the new-age 'Anukokunda Oka Roju', hasn't returned to the silver screen since then.
The buzz is that he is now embarking on an OTT project for ETV Win. The acclaimed filmmaker will produce the show and will also be its showrunner.
The project will give a fillip to the OTT platform, which has been struggling to become popular.
In an interview before the release of 'Check', Yeleti said, "I am not open to directing an OTT show or film at this point in time. I won't be doing it for five years unless I don't get film offers." Had 'Check' become a hit, he would have gone on to direct a movie for Mythri Movie Makers. The story was okayed but it was not firmed up for unknown reasons.
'Manamantha', 'Sahasam', 'Okkadunnadu' and 'Pranayam' are the other movies done by Yeleti.
