Director Prasanth Varma wants to pull off a casting coup. In his latest interview, he said that he aspires to cast Chiranjeevi as Lord Hanuman and Mahesh Babu as Lord Sri Rama in 'Jai HanuMan'.
While aspirations are nothing wrong, the director could well be resorting to hyperbole just for the sake of it. Casting Chiru and the 'Guntur Kaaram' actor in a film would be unthinkable to most, including SS Rajamouli.
In Varma's defence, it could be said that Mahesh might merely be doing a cameo and Chiru could be limited to a few scenes. Even then, it would take something extraordinary for the two superstars to believe in the vision of the director to power the larger scheme of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.
At this point, Varma could say anything and still get away. Even those who are inclined to trolling any and everyone all the time have been stunned into silence by the staggering level of the success enjoyed by 'HanuMan'.
