'Rajadhani Files', this election season's first anti-YS Jagan movie, was released in theatres today. Earlier today, a court ordered the stalling of its theatrical release on the grounds that it violates certain laws.

The court verdict came after the morning shows were commenced. The police in Andhra Pradesh, ostensibly backed by orders from the administration, swung into action and disrupted several shows in some towns.

Social media is full of videos where we see cops venturing into theatres and stalling the shows midway.

Starring newcomers Akilan and Veena in key roles, the film tells the story of the agitation of the farmers of Amaravathi against the Andhra Pradesh capital city issue. Featuring yesteryear hero Vinodh Kumar as a leader of a people's movement, the film also has Vani Viswanath in a positive role.

Before the movie's release, the makers said that 'Rajadhani Files' not only points out problems but also offers a solution in the climax.
