After 'HanuMan', Prasanth Varma receives a dual disappointment

Ideally, a filmmaker who has delivered a double blockbuster shouldn't face any setbacks and disappointments while firming up his immediate next project. But director Prasanth Varma is an exception.

After 'HanuMan' this Sankranthi, he cemented a project with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. The project was shelved after the actor controversially exited it unannounced.

Something similar happened for the second time. Varma's planned project with Balakrishna's son, Mokshagnya, has been cancelled. The director's precious ten-month period has been wasted by the two ill-fated projects.

What next for Prasanth Varma? Rishab Shetty's 'Jai Hanuman'. The project was announced recently and hopefully will take off in the first part of 2025. But Shetty is busy with 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. 'Jai Hanuman' might not be his immediate priority.

Almost all big Telugu stars are busy with some or the other project. If Prasanth Varma teams up with Prabhas (as has been rumoured), only God would be sure about when it will hit the cinemas.
