Tamannaah Bhatia has found herself embroiled in controversy. National media reports today said that the Maharashtra cyber cell has summoned her for questioning in connection with her alleged involvement with the illegal betting app FairPlay. The 'Sye Raa' actress has been requested to appear before the cyber cell on April 29 for questioning. She is facing allegations of promoting the viewing of IPL matches on the app, which was not entitled to telecast the matches in the first place. Since the telecast was not authorized, Viacom 18, the owner of exclusive streaming rights, had lodged a complaint. Tamannaah will be questioned regarding her participation in promotions.
It is said that such endorsements are not serious crimes. As such, the actress will only be questioned for information.
On the film front, Tamannaah awaits the release of 'Aranmanai 4' in Tamil. The horror-comedy is titled 'Baak' in Telugu. In all probability, the film will head to theatres on May 3.
