'Bholaa Shankar' may have been a box-office disaster but a large section of the audience who skipped its theatrical release are waiting to know how bad it is. The Chiranjeevi-starrer is now gearing up for its OTT release.
The Meher Ramesh directorial, which is a thankless remake of the Tamil film 'Vedhalam', will hit Netflix on September 15. "Let the celebrations begin because Megastar is back! 'Bholaa Shankar' is coming to Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi on 15th September! (sic)," the streaming giant today tweeted.
Nowadays, Netflix is upping the game. It owns the streaming rights to a lot of recent releases such as 'Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty' and the Hindi-language behemoth 'Jawan'.
Coming back to 'Bholaa Shankar', the film co-stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh. Released in theatres on August 11, it was gobbled up by Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' in Telugu.
