'Taj: Divided by Blood' has been streaming Zee5. The Hindi-language series, spanning ten episodes, stars Dharmendra as Shaik Salim Chisti and Naseeruddin Shah as Akbar. Aditi Rao Hydari of 'Sammohanam' fame played Anarkali in it.
In her latest interview, Aditi said that playing Anarkali was challenging. Saying that all characters are challenging in different ways, the actress suggested that she aims to do full justice to the director's expectations. "Anarkali was surely a challenging character, especially because she is a historical character whose interpretation involves a lot of creativity and imagination," she added.
Calling herself a greedy artist, Aditi is more than pleased to have got to team up with classy filmmakers like Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. "If people believe that there is still more talent in me yet to be tapped, I would feel happy," she says.
With Bhansali, the famous Bollywood director, Aditi is doing 'Heeramandi', a web series to be streamed on Netflix. The title means diamond market, an area in the city of Lahore in Pakistan. Its story is set in the pre-Independence era.
She likes to do a biopic of Rekha, the iconic Hindi film actress of yesteryear.
About her personal life (it is rumoured that she is in love with actor Siddharth), Aditi refuses to divulge any information. She hints that personal life is meant to be personal. She doesn't mind people talking about her personal life as long as they don't cross the boundaries of decency.
