'Adipurush' producer trolled for 'inviting hate'!

'Bheed' (Hindi) is slated to be released in theatres on March 24. Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is one of its producers.

On Friday, after its teaser was released, many Netizens started trolling the film left, right and centre. Most of the critics alleged that 'Bheed' is a propaganda movie directed against the Narendra Modi government's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant migrant crisis.

After a complete lockdown was announced across India in the Summer of 2020, lakhs of migrants were left to go back to their hometowns on foot. Reportedly, many faced utmost difficulty while going back to their native villages after all businesses were shut down due to the lockdown.

Why should anybody have a problem with such a film? Is the 'Adipurush' producer wrong in backing 'Bheed'?

Actually, director Anubhav Sinha is a known propagandist as per Netizens. He is a vehement anti-BJP filmmaker, they are alleging. The teaser of 'Bheed' shows that the migrant crisis was as bad as the Partition in 1947. "This is absurd. The Partition resulted in the death of ten lakh people and fifteen million people were displaced. How can anybody call the migrant crisis, which was nothing in comparison, as horrendous as the Partition?" a Facebook user asked. Another Netizen said that a producer like Bhushan Kumar, who is making meaningful films like 'Adipurush', shouldn't have made a propaganda film. "The producer is inviting hate by working with a propagandist," a Twitter user added.

Starring Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana and Pankaj Kapur, the film has music by Mangesh Dhakde.
