'Baby' won a new fan. And he is director Sukumar himself. The 'Pushpa' maker, who loves to pen 'hatke' love stories, described the writing in 'Baby' as unconventional.

"Definitely, this movie will usher in a new wave and a new pattern of writing in our cinema. Every scene was like a suspense thriller for me. It is the first time I have seen situations behaved like characters. Kudos to director Sai Rajesh," the star director, known for blockbusters like 'Rangasthalam', said.

He appreciated producer SKN and Maruthi for empowering the film. Vaishnavi Chaitanya came in for appreciation. "She inhaled the character completely and exhaled it to us. Anand Deverakonda was so brilliant that he looked intoxicated by his role," Sukumar said.

He also praised Vijay Bulganin's music and MN Balreddy's cinematography.
