Rao Ramesh, who has acted in movies like 'Dhamaka', 'Pakka Commercial', 'Yashoda' and 'Bheemla Nayak' in recent times, is now turning a male lead. The versatile actor, known for his standard performances in biggies like 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' and 'Duvvadaja Jagannadham', will be playing a middle-aged man in a film titled 'Maruti Nagar Subramanyam', which is produced by a banner named PBR Cinemas.

Director Laxman Karya has cast Rao Ramesh as the husband and Indraja as his wife in this content-based family entertainer. The lead man will be seen as a jobless uncle in the movie. His character will be performance-centric like the ones played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rajkummar Rao in Hindi.

At about two hours of running time, the film's shoot will begin in March. Rao Ramesh has allotted bulk dates for the project since it has him as the leading man.

Currently, the artist is also doing biggies like 'Pushpa 2' and Ravi Teja's 'Ravanasura'.
