'Saturday Night' is an upcoming comedy-drama in Malayalam. Starring Nivin Pauly in the lead, the film is in the news because two of its actresses have put out social media posts saying that they were groped and touched inappropriately while promoting the movie at a Kozhikode mall.
"Two Malayalam actresses revealed on their social media pages that they were sexually harassed during the promotions of the movie," reported a portal.
A portal has identified the actresses as Grace Antony and SaniyaIyappan. The former's social media post in Malayalam is doing the rounds on the Internet.
In a video clip that has surfaced online, we see that the crowds were indisciplined and over-eager. Many men mobbed one of the actresses and a couple of them seemingly touched her inappropriately.
The incident is an eye-opener. Movie promotions in malls are especially prone to incidents of sexual harassment.
