'Umapathi' is a seemingly idyllic and feel-good love story set in the backdrop of a village. Starring leading man Anuragh and Avika Gor, the film is touted to be a rooted story directed by Satya Dwarapudi. Currently in post-production, the film is a remake of the Tamil-language movie 'Kalavani'. The 2010 Tamil original was described by a critic as a revision of Tamil filmmaker Bharathiraja's yesteryear films based on villager's conflicts and romance.
On Monday, marking Diwali, producer K Koteswar Rao of Krishi Creations and Avika Screen Creations released the first look of 'Umapathi'. In tune with the genre of the film, we see the 'Uyyala Jampala' actress sporting a half-saree. Her co-star is also seen in unassuming clothing. They surely share pleasant chemistry.
Posani Krishna Murali, Tulasi, Praveen, 'Auto' Ram Prasad and Bhadram have different roles.
With music by Shakthikanth Karthick of 'Fidaa' fame, the film has Raghavendra as the director of photography. Chandrabose, Murthy Devagupthapu, and Bhaskarabhatla have written the lyrics.
