Akshay Kumar awaits the release of 'Samrat Prithviraj' on June 3. The film's advance bookings have been open.
In his latest interview, the Bollywood star has opined that the History books prescribed for school students and college-goers don't give much knowledge about Hindu kings. He added that our children should definitely be taught about Mughals, but "our kings" too should occupy equal importance.
"Nobody is there to write about it (kings like Prithviraj Chauhan) in our history books. I would like to appeal to the Education Minister to look into this matter and see if we can balance it," the 'Sooryavanshi' star said.
'Samrat Prithviraj' taps into the lion-like image that Chauhan has among Hindutva votaries.
