Rashmika Mandanna accused of insulting Southern cinema

Rashmika Mandanna has been accused of insulting the South Indian film industry during the promotion of her upcoming Bollywood movie. The 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actress can be heard saying that Bollywood alone used to make the best romantic songs. On the other hand, Southern cinema was bringing out only masala and item songs, she suggested.

"While growing me, for me, romantic songs were Bollywood songs. Down South, all that we had were masala songs, item songs and dance numbers," the 'Pushpa' actress said.

Many Netizens are saying that Rashmika has projected Southern cinema in a negative way in Mumbai. The 'Chalo' and 'Bheeshma' actress owes everything to Sandalwood and Tollywood, they are reminding.

While Southern cinema has always made some of the best romantic songs, it seems Rashmika was enamoured of the Yash Chopra-SRK-Salman Khan-type romances.
