Actress Rakul Preet Singh is in the news for the wrong reason. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) reportedly served a notice to her in connection with the infamous Tollywood drugs case of 2017. She will have to appear before the central agency on December 19. The probe concerns a suspected money laundering angle to the drugs case.
A Times Now report noted that the 'Dhruva' and 'Nannaku Prematho' actress was summoned by the ED in September 2021 in connection with a drugs racket that was busted in Hyderabad in 2017.
Besides the actress, TRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy has also been asked to appear before the ED. The MLA's summoning pertains to a Bangalore drug case, a report by Deccan Chronicle said on Friday.
