Sai Dharam Tej's first pan-India film 'Virupaksha' will hit the cinemas on April 21 next year. Debutant director Karthik Dandu is wielding the megaphone.
On Wednesday, at the film's Title Reveal event, the 'Chitralahari' and 'Supreme' actor revealed that he did the movie for his mother's sake. He showered his mother with love on the occasion. His mother, who was there as one of the audience members, was visibly touched by his gesture.
Jr NTR came in for much love. Although he was not present on the occasion, Tarak was fondly remembered by the 'Republic' actor. He recalled that it was in 2007 that he first met the 'RRR' actor. "From then on, what you have given me can only be experiential in nature," Sai Tej said.
About director Sukumar, who has screenplayed the mystical thriller, the Mega hero said, "I thought he will come up with an actioner or entertainer. But he has surprised me with a mystical thriller."
Director Karthik Dandu revealed that 'Virupaksha' is set in 1990s when a village in a thick forest faces a crisis.
