Veteran actress Jayanthi passed away on Monday at the age of 76. Nandamuri Balakrishna has condoled her demise with profound sympathies.
In a statement, the 'Akhanda' actor said that Jayanthi came to be known as Abhinaya Sharadhe and that she acted in 500 movies in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi besides Telugu.
"She was a great actress. She got introduced to the Telugu screen with my father's 'Jagadekaveeruni Katha'. 'Kula Gouvaram', 'Kondaveeti Simham', 'Justice Chowdhary' were her other famous titles. She was seen in my movies 'Allari Krishnayya', 'Muddula Menalludu', 'Thallidandrulu', and 'Vamsanikokkadu'. In her demise, the Indian film industry has lost a great artist. I extend my profound condolences to her bereaved family," Balakrishna added.
