Ch. Praveen Kumar, 36, was martyred in action last year when he was serving the Indian Army. He was martyred on November 8, 2020. Survived by Rajitha, a son and a daughter, the family has been left in the lurch. Many people from the family have served the Indian Army. On knowing their condition, a few regiment officers and colonels recently urged the Sri Vidyaniketan Educational Institutions' Chairman and actor Dr. Mohan Babu to reach out to the family.
Reacting to the letter, Mohan Babu has offered free education to Lohita, the martyr's daughter, starting from this academic year. From Class IV, she will be given free education for the rest of her schooling. Praveen Kumar's wife has thanked Mohan Babu for the gesture.
CEO and actor Vishnu Manchu thanked the martyr's family and said that he feels he is duty-bound to help them.
