The place of Janaki and SP Balasubrahmanyam is going to be special forever in the history of Indian music. The legendary singers have stood as a great source of inspiration to a number of young singers. A musical event was held in Hyderabad to celebrate their works.
Speaking on the occasion, singer Sandhya Varshini said, "It has been a year since I set up the Sandhya Varshini Multi-Musical Organization. We are here to mark the first anniversary by celebrating legends."
Producer Thummalapalli Ramasathyanarayana said, "The film industry needs singers such as Sandhya Varshini."
Thallada Sai Krishna, actor and director, said, "I have known Sandhya akka for several years both as an actor as a humanitarian. She is well-versed in literature and deploys words with great calibre. I wish her all the best and I want to see her grow as a singer and lyricist."
