The sports action drama 'Lakshya' will be released in theatres on December 10. Its pre-release event was held on Sunday at a star hotel in Hyderabad. Pullela Gopichand, Sharwanand and Sekhar Kammula graced the event as chief guests.

Speaking on the occasion, music director Kaala Bhairava said, "It was my wish to do a film of this genre. I am glad I have finally done it. I never imagined that an offer of this sort will come my way so early in my career."

Producer Sarath Marrar said, "The movie went on the floors before the first lockdown. We have shot the film whenever we could. Naga Shaurya has been focussed completely from start to end. He has undergone a physical makeover. The director came with utmost clarity. Ketika Sharma is a special attraction."

Art Director Sharmila said, "I thank the producers for believing in me. Without director Santossh garu, I wouldn't be here. It took time for me to understand the sport Archery. You are going to see art work of international standards."

Ketika Sharma said, "I thank the director and the producers for this opportunity. Working with Naga Shaurya, I learned many lessons. Kaala Bhairava has done a great job as a music director. The cinematographer has shown me in a beautiful way."

Director Santossh said, "Naga Shaurya garu listened to my narration patiently. I took 3.5 hours to narrate just the first half. When you watch our movie, you will understand what the line 'Success is not a destination, it's a journey' means. Cinematographer Rami Reddy's visuals are going to be a highlight."

Sekhar Kammula said that the film will surely hit the bull's eye. He said that producer Suniel Narang is a man of taste.

Pullela Gopichand said, "A lot of perseverance went into making this movie. I hope the team reaps the benefit of their hard work."

Sharwanand said, "I wish the entire team all the best. Producers Rammohan Rao garu, Suniel garu and Sarath Marrar garu are well-wishers. It needs a lot of guts to do a sports movie. Naga Shaurya is a dedicated actor. After my current projects, I want to do a six-packs character!"

Naga Shaurya said, "It was in 2019 that I had listened to the script. Suniel Narang garu is like my elder brother. He asked me to listen to the story. There are only two full-fledged songs in 'Akhanda'. Same is the case with our movie. If the content is strong, you don't need many songs. I was stunned seeing Ketika in 'Romantic'. She is my heroine in 'Lakshya'. There was a time when I tried hard to meet with Sekhar Kammula garu after his 'Happy Days' was released. I am glad Sharwa is here today to wish us all the best."
