S Sai Balaji Prasad, the writer-director, is no more. He died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
It was with Real Star Srihari's 'Sivaji' and 'Orey Thammudu' that Balaji shot to fame in the film industry. He also directed TV serials such as 'Siri', 'Aparanji' and 'Haalahalam'.
'Baavagaru Bagunnara', starring Chiranjeevi and produced by Naga Babu, had him working as one of the screenplay writers.
Balaji hails from Tirupathi. He had worked under senior director Raviraja Pinisetty. Survived by a wife and a daughter, he was famous in both TV and film industries.
