When 'Gentleman' was released in 1993, it went on to become a major hit in Telugu and Tamil. The film marked the debut of Shankar, who would go on to become one of the biggest directors of the country. Produced by KT Kunjumon, the film had music by AR Rahman, whose tunes for it became runaway hits.

The news is that the vigilante drama is now going to have a multi-lingual sequel. Kunjumon has announced that the sequel will be released in all South Indian languages as well as Hindi.

"KT Kunjumon later created a mega movie named 'Kadhal Desam' ('Prema Desam') out of a small love story. He introduced Prabhudeva as a hero with 'Kadhalan' ('Premikudu'). He also brought Nagarjuna Akkineni to the Tamil film industry through his massive budgeted movie 'Ratchakan' ('Rakshakudu'). He introduced Miss universe Susmitha Sen to the silver screen. He not only introduced but gave big breaks to many more actors and technicians through his movies," a note from his production house says, making 'Gentleman-2' official.

"I am resuming movie production works after several years. 'Gentleman' was a major hit in Tamil, Telugu and in other languages. This movie released all over the world in many languages and got overwhelming reception everywhere. Twice the greatness of 'Gentleman' can be seen in 'Gentleman2', which will challenge the best of Hollywood movies with the most-updated movie production techniques. I am going to produce it on Gentleman film International," Kunjumon said.

Cast and crew details will be announced later.
