Looks like a huge clash is inevitable this Sankranthi. The makers of 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' and 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' have confirmed that their movies will release on 12th January, 2020. Both the announcements came around the same time, shocking fans of both Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun.
Immediately after the release date of 'Ala Vaikuntapuramulo' was announced, 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' makers also announced theirs. Initially, the makers of 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' wanted to release their film on 11th January and 'Ala Vaikuntapuramulo' makers wanted their film to hit the screens on 14th January. But both have changed their plans.
While Trivikram Srinivas directs 'Ala Vaikunthapuramulo', Anil Ravipudi is helming 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'. Both films are already riding high on expectations. Dil Raju and Anil Sunkara are jointly producing 'Sarileru..' under Sri Venkateswara Creations and AK Entertainments banners. 'Ala Vaikunthapurramulo' is being produced by Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna under Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations banners.
Though Sankranthi season can accommodate releases of two to three big fims, is it good if two biggies release on the same day? Will anyone change their plans for the sake of distributors?
