It is known that Reliance Entertainment has produced, distributed and released more than 300 films in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. Now, Reliance Entertainment has formed a 50:50 joint production venture, Window Seat Films LLP, with Indian’s most celebrated filmmaker Intiaz Ali for production of films. It is the fifth production collaboration of Reliance Entertainment with Indian filmmakers.
Reliance Entertainment’s previous partnerships include Phantom (with Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane), Rohit Shetty Picturez (with Rohit Shetty), Plan C Studios (with Neeraj Pandey) and Y NOT Films (with S Sashikanth).
Imtiaz Ali is well known to movie goers with the films like Socha Na Tha, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Tamasha, Highway and Jab Harry Met Sejal. “The collaboration of creative and business will definitely bring out outstanding projects from the creative abilities of Imtiaz and the global marketing and distribution proficiencies of Reliance Entertainment,” reads the statement issued by the Window Seat Films LLP.
Reliance Entertainment wise chairman Amitabh Jhunjhunwala said, “We are very happy to have Imtiaz as our partner. We will surely deliver quality films, full-fledged comedy film and films which will impress all sects of audience.”
Imtiaz Ali said, “Window Seat Films LLP and Reliance Entertainment have the same vision. We both have similar ideas in terms of content. Our collaboration will bring more entertaining films for sure.”
It is know that ‘Golmaal 3’ which was delivered by Reliance Entertainment was a super-duper hit. This year, Reliance Entertainment is bringing super stars Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh’s films.
