Veteran actor and producer Red star Madala Rangarao is said to be critically ill. He has been admitted in Star Hospital in Hyderabad on May 19 by his son Dr. Madala Ravi and Rangarao’s wife Padmavathi. He has been suffering from heart related complaints for the past few years.
Rangarao’s son Madala Ravi informed, “Last year, he suffered heart stroke and was rushed into Vijaya Hospital in Chennai. When circumstanced were more dire, we rushed him to Star Hospital in Hyderabad. Dr. Gopichand garu and the team did heart surgery successfully. Since then, Dr. Ramesh garu, Dr. Gopichand garu and Dr. Anuradha garu are supervising his heath treatment. However, the problem has re-emerged on May 19. Doctors say that his condition is serious. He is now placed on a ventilator and on dialysis in ICU.”
Madala Rangarao, who started his film career with ‘Chairman Chelamaiah’, has acted in and produced many films. Known for revolutionary film, he produced many hit movies with leftist theme like Yuvatharam Kadilindi , Erra Mallelu, Mahaprasthanam and Praja Shakthi and many more on his Navataram Pictures banner.
