Dr. Mohan Babu will be honored with doctorate by MGR University. Reportedly, the honorary doctorate will be conferred upon him by the prestigious university on October 4th in Chennai. It will be another feather in the cap of the versatile actor, educationalist and philanthropist.
Earlier, Mohan Babu was awarded an honorary doctorate from University of California, Berkeley for his contribution to the field of cinema and education. He was awarded ‘Padma Shri’, India’s 4th highest civilian award in 2007.
In 2016, Mohan Babu was felicitated in British Parliament by senior politicians and prominent Indian community leaders in an event organized by Asian Lite, a prominent newspaper for the Indian community in Britain. He was honored with Pranam Award and his dialogue book has been launched on the occasion.
Mohan Babu has acted in over 500+ movies over a span of four decades and produced several blockbuster movies under his banner, Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. Currently, he is busy with his upcoming movie ‘Gayathri’ which is also being produced by him. The former Rajya Sabha MP established Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, which houses over 20,000 students under all the branches of education, starting from KG to PG.
