SIT Serves Notice To 12 Prominent People In Tollywood For Drug Mafia Link

The drug mafia has expanded its tentacles to Telugu film industry. Special Investigation team (SIT) has issued notices to almost twelve prominent persons in Tollywood, including Tollywood’s ace director Puri Jagannadh, hero Ravi Teja, Tarun, Navdeep, Tanish, dancer Mumait Khan, Charmme, character artists Subbaraju, Nandu and Srinivasarao and art director Chinna and cameraman Shyam K Naidu for their alleged links with the drugs mafia.

According to the reports, the accused have to appear before them within a week i.e. between July 19 and July 27 at Nampally excise office in Hyderabad for personal explanation. Officers have identified these people from the Telugu film industry with the help of call data on the phones of Kevin and other drug mafia members. SIT officers revealed that the accused have made calls regularly with the drug mafia members. The officers are trying to establish who the drug suppliers are and who the drug victims are and they are trying to know how the Tollywood people came in contact with drug mafia members. The list has been given to Movie Artists Association (MAA) of the film industry and we all know that MAA conducted a meeting on the issue with President Shivaji Raja, producers Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind and actor Srikanth. They have warned them against such fatal activities at a meeting held on July 12 in Hyderabad. Speaking at the press meet, Allu Aravind, D Suresh Babu, writer Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Naresh and Shivaji blamed the accused for tarnishing the good image of the Telugu film industry and asked the film industry people to keep off such cuture.
