Comedian Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao commonly termed as Kondavalasa, who got his own identity in Tollywood with the catchphrase ‘Athie OK’, has died in the hospital on November 2nd, 2015 as death defeated him. 69 Year old Kondavalasa was suffering from some health problems from quite some time now. He was admitted to NIMS, Hyderabad when his condition got serious.
He worked in more than 300 films as a comedian from past few years. The last movie he appeared in was ‘Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Charitra’ in 2014. Born on August 10th, 1946, Kondavalasa is from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. He was a drama artist before entering into films. He performed in many stage shows. Director Vamsi roped him for his film ‘Aunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru’ in 2002.
