MS Viswanathan is no more

Renowned music composer of southern film industry MS Viswanathan died at a private hospital in Chennai on July 14. According to the reports, he had been undergoing treatment at Fortis Malar hospital for old-age related ailments and breathing problem. He breathed his last at 4.15 am on Tuesday.

He had composed music for over 1,200 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada and worked with four Chief Ministers — N.T. Rama Rao, M.G. Ramachandran, M. Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa. In Telugu also he worked for the films several super hit films like ‘Devdasu’, ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Maro Charitra’, ‘Anthuleni kath’, ‘Sipayi Chinnayya’ and ‘Guppedu Manasu’ and many more. He is a recipient of Kalamamani and several other music awards. He had created his own mark in the music industry and his sudden demise is the major loss for the film industry. The entire film industry conveyed their condolence to his family members.
