Indian film fraternity (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi) is here by noted to inform that Cinematographer cum Director Shri Ashok Kumar is struggling for life recuperating in ICU at SRM Hospital, Katankalathur in Chennai. Ashok Kumar’s son Akash Ashok Kumar has informed all his father’s well wishers to pray for speed recovery his father. Ashok Kumar is one of the most renowned and respected technicians of Indian Film industry. He worked in over 120 plus movies and is most known for his National Award for Best Cinematography for the 1980 Tamil movie Nenjathai Killathe and for Telugu musical hits Abhinandana, Neerajanam. Ashok Kumar is a multiple state award winner for Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. He is in fact India's first cinematographer to shoot in 3D in 1983.
